Bebbies!

Gosh, is this really happening now? Could I really be getting infected with a case of...baby envy?!

Chalk it up to friends getting pregnant and giving birth left and right (Tin, Aggie and Pia, to rattle off a few), plus at my shoot last Saturday, I got to talk with Amina Aranaz-Alunan (who'd gotten married the same day I did--and our initials are now both AAA), glowingly five months pregnant. Thing is, Mark and I both plan to try getting pregnant maybe in another year's time (before I hit 30), and I was perfectly alright with that--I can't stomach the idea of being pregnant and raising a baby in our tiny flat.

Maybe it's just this whole emotional rollercoaster we've both been on, what with his grandmother's health and all. Now we both kind of wistfully sigh, "Maybe we should give her (grandma) her great-grandchild a bit earlier." And when we're not in the ICU, we find ourselves peeping into the nursery, where a bunch of bebbies snooze peacefully, to be carefully inspected and cooed over by their parents (and us).

Two nights ago we were with my sister and sisters-in-law, gushing over this pair of twins--one was contentedly drooling into his pillow, while the other kept opening his eyes (probably attracted to the light). And last night, there was a new addition: the roundest, chubbiest, bebbie who kept hiccuping and sneezing. Adoooowwwwable! He was strapped to a machine that, according to the daddy next to us, was monitoring his blood sugar, as the mommy was diabetic. Poor bebbie :(

And just spoke to Dad this morning. Jillian celebrated her first birthday last week (Man, can't believe I missed it!)--I hope we can visit this weekend, I miss my family (and playing with her, our maid's bebbie).

Okay, really thinking about it and...

I don't think I'm ready for a baby yet. Just thinking about sleepless nights and dirty nappies is making me dizzy.

domestic goddess--not!
