You know how some foods are just plain better reheated?

Penne with vodka sauce has to take the cake. Most pasta + creamy/heavy sauce creations fare better after nuked. Like in that Sopranos episode where they talk about baked ziti being better reheated. "College" was the episode, season one.

So I made penne vodka and just wasn't feeling it. Stomached about five bites and just... stopped. Five minutes later I threw a ton of parmesan on and nuked it for a minute and a half.

SO.MUCH.BETTER.

I think pizza's better reheated, too. Anybody have their personal reheated faves?

Oh, and gilneas, hate to say it 'cause I know you hate Emeril, but his vodka sauce is pretty good. I gotta get around to making some homemade vodka sauce soon.

This whole summer session I've been waiting for AU to go, "Only four people? This class is cancelled." I can finally say, after 1/2 of the session, that they won't do that. They just plain can't. So I dropped the two doubles I had signed up for in the fall preparing for that and added COMM-561: Advancred Writing for Film Script. Bet syracusepoet had a few similar classes. The course description makes it out to be that your one assignment is to write an entire film script. This could be a ton of work or a ton of fun, but probably both.

I have two spots open. I am probably filling one of them with an independent study with Middents and might fill the other one with another Middents class, Latin American Fiction 1960-1985 (you know, the "boom" years). I'm going to have a really kick-ass semester coming up. I could also take a French course. I wonder if I could weasel my way into an Intermediate level...

Emer and I have been talking. Sounds like the tentative plan is to take a year off after undergrad, probably live in Albany. We had been saying I should go to NYU after that, provided I get in. Now we're saying Concordia looks better. It's always been my number one choice, but since Emer was anti at first I reverted to NYU. Judging that I went there for a semester and got high marks (highest marks offered in both film classes), my writing sample will be on Egoyan, and my capstone is on Telefilm's "From Script to Screen" program, I have a great shot of getting in. With the year off Emer and I could work, both becoming eligible for the "Skilled Worker" program for entry into Canada. So... yeah!
