So much travel = dead Bill. Seriously, I am a road warrior and all, have put almost 30,000 on my car by myself in around 18 months (roughly 55 miles a day, and keep in mind that I barely use it except for trips), but these past few weeks have made me so exhausted it's not funny.
I'm actually looking forward to being in DC all of a sudden. I'd rather be somewhere cooler, don't get me wrong, but it'll do. Besides, nine credits in six weeks = bonus.
My body still aint ready. Walking to the apartment (granted yes, with much in tow) got me a bit sweaty-ified, The worst is the heat rash which is all over my arms. My body currently hates the climate change I forced it to go through.
Quick recap, though I'll probably do a bigger one tommorow: headed up to Albany to
fight an 80 in a 55 ticket on Thursday, got it reduced to a much lesser charge and am paying $130 total. Not light, but not devastating. I got to pack for college, fight a ticket, and then help Emer pack for home all in one day! Woo. Stopped by Rochester en route to Cleveland. Got pissed at conservatives - sometimes I forget conservatives exist, living in New Jersey and all. Did around 18 hours or so of driving in three days time.
I am in DC. Have two classes tommorow (eek!) but this summer is looking good. This apartment was going to have seven people in it but now it's only the normal three and me. I am sleeping in the room of my late friend Andy Burr (you can read
my reaction to his passing here) which is somewhat weird; more or less, his room hasn't been touched since he passed away. Don't get me wrong, I'm not wrecking a memory, they wanted someone to live here, but it didn't seem right. According to one of them, this brings a sort of closure, although it is, admittedly, a little weird for me.
I can't complain. I've got internet (didn't expect that) and am, seemingly, not stepping on my roommate's toes. So I'm content. I don't have a key so I am completely dependent on one of them being here but hey, I can deal.
P.S. Yes, this means this was another one of those, "gone for a few days so I need to massively catch up on the friends list and will tommorow." Sorry folks!
