One of my New Years resolutions was to read more. After all, I should know what kind of competition I'm up against, right? For Christmas, I got the Zombie Survival Handbook by Max Brooks. Fate, it seems, won't let people lose weight or quit smoking, but if you want to read more, it has a way of sneaking it in. I was on chapter three, about defending yourself against the undead, when my dad walked in and handed two books to me. "I was cleaning out the basement and found these." One is an old copy of Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee. The other one? A first edition Dell copy of Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five. Fate, you sly bitch, you strike again.

Also, if you have any good books I should read, feel free to let me borrow them. I'll pay you back in awesomeness.
