Finally got around to getting the Steampunk Worlds Fair pictures off the camera and onto the computer. Most of the good pictures are on
lufwood-emilius's camera, though, I'll post or link to them when she gets them up, I guess.
Lufwood on Friday, in an awesome tailcoat.
Queen of Steam, the steampunk drag show. (The baby in the corner there? They stuck a moustache on her and entered her in the drag show! She didn't freak out or cry or anything. Coolest and most adorable baby ever.)
This guy was playing a really neat instrument. It was like, a guitar body, but there was a small keyboard attached? IDK, it was cool.
My mom, in what we were referring to as her Steampunk Hobbit outfit. How awesome is my mother? So awesome.
Zombies are always hilarious.
Lufwood and I, day two. (You can't see it in this picture, but my skirt is all bustled up. With a bustle pad I made out of socks. DIY Steampunk On A Budget FTW.)
THE POPE. We were at the hotel bar, and my mom came over and was like "GUYS. The POPE is over there." and I didn't believe her. BUT HE WAS. This guy had pretty much my favourite costume/outfit of everyone.
Okay, Steampope is tied with this woman. We'll call her the Cephalopod Lady. She was awesomely betentacled! "Betentacled" is clearly a real word.
My mom in possibly the floofiest skirt she has worn her entire life.
Dude playing a kazoo! See, I have this really nice antique tin kazoo (my family has weird heirlooms okay), and I was going to take it with us, and my dad was like "...That's stupid, why would you take a kazoo?". So I took a picture to prove him wrong.
This was just a really neat sculpture.
Walter Sickert & The Army Of Broken Toys, at the Cabaret Saturday night. There was so much awesome music at this thing, you don't even. It's like it was secretly also a music festival! All three of us bought CDs!
There was a photo scavenger hunt, for which, again, most of the photos are on the other camera. One of the things on the list was "A Steampunk President", so I gave Lincoln goggles.
This woman had the MOST AWESOME HAIR.
My mom and Lufwood on Sunday. That's an authentic WWII flight suit she's wearing, you guys. I have the coolest friends.
And Lufwood and me on Sunday! I'll be honest what I'm wearing there I genuinely have worn as street clothes before. Only without the hat, because it's new. I am running out of space for hats, at this point.
On Sunday there was a Steampunk Fashion Show. Most of my pictures have the heads in front in the way, or they're blurry, or both, but here are some that turned out okay:
