I have not, actually, been all that happy today! I didn't get enough sleep last night, and then (possibly as a result) I've had a headache most of the day.
But, I have committed myself to this. So!
1. Post about something that made you happy today, even if it's just a small thing.
2. Do this every day for eight days without fail.
LET'S TALK ABOUT OINGO BOINGO. I sometimes forget they are my favourite band! I haven't really been listening to them much lately! But today I was sitting on the subway, fighting off this headache and trying to focus on reading Ibsen, when "Nothing to Fear" came up on shuffle and then I was grinning and making Danny Hands and then, uh, people were looking at me funny? WHATEVER.
Nothing Bad Ever Happens. Highlights include: Spastic dork dancing; someone other than me being able to move their little toe independently; Censorship Duckie; bizarre 80s cannibalism.

Gratitude, for which embedding has been disabled. This is one of the best examples of Danny Hands. Also, the poker scene is really ridiculous. They are playing poker, and Satan is there for some reason, and there's a small child jumping up and down so hard he is shaking the walls! I love it.

Little Girls! Extremely catchy song about pedophilia! Also, a fine example of the patented Danny Elfman technique of surrounding himself by even shorter people, to make him seem taller. Seriously though, getting this stuck in your head can lead to Extremely Awkward Situations. I once made a Hal Jordan/Arisia vid to this song! I amuse myself, okay.

Weird Science. Okay, yes, the movie is, um, questionable. But I fucking love this song. It is my ringtone! Which unfortunately means whenever I hear it I try to answer my phone. It's not a surprise that I like Mad Science, right? It's only in my username and all. (Oh, great, this apparently cuts off at the end. In the full version (which I can't find), after the kid says "Grow up!" the camera pans to Danny's hand and the 80's-tastic girl has reverted back to 80's-tastic Barbie. COMEDY GOLD.)

Insanity. I can't find the actual video, so have the Farewell Concert version. I am going to get a time machine and go back and fucking see that show, okay. Sure, there is a DVD, but it is not the same.
...Yeah, I am definitely happier than I was when I started writing this post.
