Woo-Hoo! G3 at the Store!
Every time I go to a Wal-Mart, Zellers, etc., I check the MLP section. I hate those shelves right now- nothing but 3.5s, which I hate... especially those horrible newborn things. Ugh! The definition of "fugly".
And yet I look, just on the off chance that I'll find a G3 on the shelf, tucked back in behind the 3.5s. There's always a chance, right? Well... maybe not as much at Wal-Mart, because they sell so many toys, but there's a chance at the smaller stores. Until yesterday, though, no luck.
...and then we went to Hart because Simon wanted a stuffed chinchilla. I told him I'd never seen such a thing, but I told him he could look, anyway. I even said that if he found one, he could get it, since the odds of finding one were so slim and we'd probably never find another one. He took off to the stuffed toy wall (no luck there), and I checked out the ponies. Not much hope, but you never know! And the G3s really are growing on me.
Hmmm... fugly baby, alien-head pony, alien-head pony... nothing on the shelf. But there are some more aliens hanging up on that peg... alien, alien... G3 CHEERILEE IN A COWBOY HAT! EEEK!
I also found a couple of G3s that came with 2 outfits, but those were $20 each, so no dice. Cheerilee came home with me, though. She's so pretty- flowers right up her legs. I hate her name, and I think Cherries Jubilee is kind of upset at this young upstart practically being named after her, but I'm glad I found her. I didn't have a Cheerilee yet! I debated leaving her in the box, but that just seemed wrong- ponies are for playing with, and it's not like I paid $300 for her. She's free, boxless, and standing on my dresser with her friends.

Oh, and we went to the card store after that, and darned if Webkinz didn't just come out with a big ol' chinchilla! $20 later, we had a very happy little boy. Me and my big mouth! ; )
