Oh, oh, oh! Woke up today... feeling the way I always do!
If you've ever been to Texas or lived in Texas... then you know/heard of our saying, "If you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes."
I'm tired of this bizarre weather. The other day I was wearing shorts, and now I'm wearing a jacket. What the world!
I get to work, and my computer is working about as slow as I am. Maybe even slower. I'm going to request more memory or something. I can't work like this!
Yesterday marked the end of "Five Guys Named Moe." THANK GOD!!! The cast was fun, but the stage manager made it a living nightmare. I understand the stage manager facilitates or what have you, but I don't think being an outright bitch is a requirement.
She would tell you about something you messed up, and then announce it to the cast. Then probably say it again. Almost always something that only applies to one person to call them out on it. I don't have a problem with stage managers usually. Everyone felt the same about this one. It was an experience that I would not like to live again. That's sad because I did actually like performing in this show (for the most part).
In other theatre news, I'm cast in Hair as the understudy for Woof, but it looks like I might be playing it the whole run. I was talking to Matt (Woof), and he has a lot on his plate! He's doing three shows. Two of them are at Six Flags: Fiesta Texas. I tried doing two at once, and it doesn't quite work that well.
The director is adamant about doing the 'nude scene' and from rehearsals, he's going to make it as controversial as possible. I hate to pessimistic, but I doubt many people will come see Hair. He was wants two performances on Saturday. One at 7pm and one at 12 midnight. That part I don't like. Nobody is going to come at midnight to see Hair.
I hope they cut those shows.
I'm going to be a busy ho today. Here's my schedule:
8:00am - 3:00pm Work
3:00pm - 4:00pm Gym (Cardio, lower body strength, abs)
4:00pm - 6:30pm Work
7:00pm - 10pm Rehearsal for Hair
That is what my schedule will look like all week. That's 10 hours to myself, including sleep.
I've decided that I'm moving to Corpus. It's only a year, and if anything doesn't work out, I can just come back. So, what do I have to lose? I need a change of pace.
