Title: Ways of Communication [5/5] - Telepathy
Author: MrsEdjack aka. Jenny

Pairing: JaeMin

Rating: PG

Length: A series of one-shot-ish drabbles. 644 words.

Genre: Drabble

Disclaimer: I’d say that owning DBSK is worth getting sued for. So what’s the point?

Summary: Jaejoong and Changmin have different ways of communicating.

A/N: Thanks to zhyune for the inspiration. -winks- This chapter took quite a long time, and I’m not sure why. It’s not that long. :/ I think it has something to do with the fact that I lost misplaced the whole thing twice and had to start over again. Which means that I had to find a completely new theme-plot thing, as I can never seem to write the same thing twice properly (reason why this is not the same style as the other chapters).
So this is the last one! :O I’ve never finished a series of anything. I’m so proud. More on this later.
Unbeta’d. Will be edited when my lovely beta’reader rastaakhriz finishes her project about U.S Government and returns to being a human being. ♥

Previous chapters: 1. SMS   2. Letters   3. E-mails 4. Voice-mails

The accusation of having read another’s mind is something heard quite often in the Dong Bang home.

Perhaps it has something to do with living with each other for so many years. Perhaps it comes with being a so-called ‘Rising God’.

Perhaps they know each other too well.

Changmin finds it beyond scary that his oldest hyung somehow always knows what he wants for breakfast. And it’s not even the same thing every time. Really, he is one who actually takes pride in being able to come up with new meals for every morning, even when it ends up being something along the lines of cornflakes with banana ice-cream. Even then, Jaejoong knows, and in the morning, that is the first thing Changmin see. Not that he’s complaining, but -

“I think Jaejoong-hyung is part alien,” Changmin whispers to Kyuhyun in the phone one evening. He hears his friend chuckling slightly before answering.

“Why? Is it still because of that breakfast thing? You know -“

“No, it’s - sometimes it’s dinner too!” Changmin replies, annoyed at the other’s lack of shock. “And don’t tell Donghae.”

“Why would I tell Donghae?” Pause.

“Just don’t. We don’t want him to come here with his dissecting kit. Anyway -“

“You do know that you -“

“I’ve gotta go now. Later!” Beep, beep, beep -

“ - talk in your sleep, don’t you? Min? Changmin?”

Beep, beep, beep.

During dinner that evening, Jaejoong talks about Super Junior M, and how Kyuhyun looks great with that haircut. Min freezes instantly because this cannot be a random coincidence . It hasn’t occurred to him before, but now that he thinks back, all of those times where Jaejoong somehow knew -

communication between minds by some means other than sensory perception.

Changmin stares and stares because oh my god, is this the weird connection between him and Jae? He shudders.

5 minutes in the mind of Kim Jaejoong.

“Is he asleep yet?” Jaejoong whispers, trying to open the door to the bedroom without all the rattling and creaking.

“I think so,” Junsu whispers back. “He hasn’t moved from that position for ten minutes. But it looks like it hurts.”

Waltzing in slightly, (not without all of the unnecessary noise) he crouches down at Min’s bedside, poking him slightly on the side to see if he should be awake. He isn’t.

“So Min, how are you?” Jaejoong asks cheerily with an expectant look in his eyes.

Muffed, “Fine.”

“How was dance training?”

A groan. “Torturous.”

Finally - “What would you like for breakfast tomorrow?”

A pause. “Ramen,” he says drowsily. “Cherries on the side.”

A chuckle escapes his lips. “Alright, but then you must promise me that you’ll eat four bowls of ramen. And not leave any cherries for Yoochun.”

…”Sure.”

End of 5 minutes in the mind of Kim Jaejoong.

The next morning, Changmin feels an unusual longing for ramen and cherries. So he eats exactly four bowls of ramen, and so many cherries that there are none left for Yoochun (although that’s just his own fault for still snoring when food was served).

Later, he finds said snorer trying to slaughter Jaejoong, and he has no idea why.

He corners a lolly-eating Jaejoong up against the fridge.

“How,” he hisses, “How can you always guess what I want for breakfast?”

The older boy laughs and takes a crunchy bite off of his lollypop.

“I’m the umma,” he says. “I’m supposed to know that stuff.” Wink.

“But -“ Changmin protests angrily. He is silenced by Jaejoong’s lips on his, moving eagerly, tongue trying to gain access (which is quickly granted). He moans, and is rewarded with a taste of something sweet in his mouth; a broken off piece of lollypop.

And right then and there, he decideds that he really isn’t one to be complaining about this mind-reading thing.

A/N 2: THANK YOU to EVERYONE who reviewed. :O I suck at showing gratitude, but really - really really really - thanks. I think without all of you guys, I would probably have trashed this thing ages ago (as I’ve done with all of my previous fics). I’m usually not very patient, especially not with fics, but I guess fanfiction has good sides to it as well. -winks- Nice to know that it doesn’t only make me perverted and flunk physics. ♥
