Ok, terrible shot of me, but shows off Uno's silliness. This puppy loves to climb to the highest point and has lately taken to falling asleep across the back of my shoulders while I'm at the computer. Just check out that yawn he gave Richard as he took this picture. And if I move, he just slides down the back of the chair to stretch out across my seat keeping me from leaning back again. I have to stand up, pick him up, sit down and let him resettle himself. Goof.
We went to Atlantic City the first weekend of February. I had a free week at a Time Share just blocks from the boardwalk. Yet I got sick while we were there and ended up getting an unexpected tour of the AC Emergency Room instead of going for a walk on the boardwalk as I expected. We did get to see some of Richard's family. Superbowl Sunday was spent with his older brother and family. That was a lot of fun. I really liked his family. We were all amazed at how calm pup was. Uno actually slept through most of the game totally ignoring the cheering and yelling going on around him. Only time he got panicked is when I got into the game at one point and yelled too. LOL That woke him briefly. A very chilly quick walk outside was all it took to calm him back down.
Not long after we got home, Uno found this tea towel in the laundry. He was pretty adamant that he wanted to play tug with it, so Richard got down and played tug with him. I managed to get this one clean shot since they were moving so much most were blurry. I really had to laugh at them playing tug like this. Too funny.
Mom is finally feeling better. She has been sick with one thing after another since just before Christmas. We had a fun outing this week where I took her to the hairdresser. I had an appointment for Uno to go for his booster shots later that day and Mom wanted to go with us. She said she had never taken a pet to the vet before. She really loves this pup. So we went and he got his shots. Then we ate dinner at the Cracker Barrel just up the road in Mechanicsville from the Petsmart/Banfield Clinic that I take Uno to. We had a great dinner and Uno slept through most of that in the chair next to me. I had to use the restroom and Mom sat next to him. While I was gone someone dropped a tray or something. When I got back, Mom was laughing and Uno was standing up licking the cornbread crumbs off our table as fast as he could go. I ended up feeding him a bit of my baked potato to get him to settle down. I wish I could have gotten a picture of that too.
All in all we have had a fun few weeks.
This Friday I go to have my Long awaited surgery. Female stuff ya know. I can't wait and yet am scared silly at the same time. I hate the idea of surgery. But I look forward to getting over all the pain and cramps and everything else I have suffered with for several years now. No more cycsts or fibroids to deal with. Yeah.
Well, I will post more soon I hope.
