Art Festival

Chris and I went to an Art Festival today at OCCC. There was some wonderful art, including some great watercolors, and a lot of garbage. I assume that's pretty common in these things. I about wore myself out (ended up making Chris carry my purse) but I had a great time.

We went out to dinner with Kent and Sheila Meyers. We don't usually hang out with them, but Kent called and invited us and they were very pleasant to chat with. I can recommend Red Robin's hamburgers.

I've done a couple of paintings this week that I'm not exactly happy with but they aren't too bad to turn in as homework. I'm too tired to scan them tonight. When I do get them scanned I'll post a link. The Firehouse Art Center has a couple of classes starting up that I'm interested in. I'm going to call about them on Monday. One is figure painting which is what I'm interested in the most. The other isn't actually a class but they hire a model and you pay $8 to sit and draw her or him for a couple of hours. Sometimes they are actually nekked. I'm not interested in drawing nudes, really. I want to paint people doing what they do. People don't usually do what they do with a bare ass. (Most things anyway!)

I'm also going to make an e-book out Heart of the Tengeri. It's in process now.
