That's a chant the kids do at SWUUSI. They led the worship service Wednesday morning and we got to do all their silly chants. It was a lot of fun :-)
This SWUUSI wasn't as relaxing as it usually is. The theme speaker--Swami Beyondananda--was a new age moron who apparently learned all his science from creationist websites and all his economics from Deepak Chopra. I've heard he got pretty badly beaten up in the talkback sessions. He certainly heard from me! And Chris! He called Chris a fundamentalist! In real life he's a fairly competent stand up comic--he did a performance Wednesday evening--but as an inspirational speaker he seriously sux.
I led an art workshop in the morning and that was fine. Better than fine. I got to sit with nice people and chat in the sunshine while I painted. I also got to bash the speaker which has its own pleasures. The afternoon workshop was UU Evangelism. I picked up some nice tips and tricks and got some reassurance that we already do a lot of things right.
Lake Murray is lovely (see pix below). Unfortunately we can only meet there one more year and then they are going to tear most of it down. I wish I could have spent another week there.
But it's good to be back. The cats are being really lovey-dovey and the feeling is mutual. It's going to be nice to sleep in my own bed.
This is the back of the lodge which overlooks the lake:
