Introducing Pippin
I finally got a good pic of Pippin and the time to upload it. We went back to Second Chance last Friday and looked again at all the cats. Once again this beautiful little orange cat tried to leave with us. He picked us out. We told him to be patient while we filled out the paperwork. And he reluctantly agreed. His bags were packed, he was ready to hit the road. He'd been in the shelter since March.
Little Rat wasn't quite as pleased with him as we were. There was a fair amount of hissing and growling at first, but now all is fine. Today I saw him grudgingly sit there while Pippin licked his face. Pippin handled LR like a champ. He's utterly fearless and relentlessly friendly--one of the most positive, upbeat cats I've ever met. It's been one week and we've already got our money's worth :-)
I've done a watercolor painting I'm not too embarrassed to show to people, but I haven't scanned it yet. And I finished "The Button Man," a short story about a different kind of hired killer.
