Well I'm all registered for my classes now, but I had some issues registering for Calculus. Apparently this year they're making everybody in Intro to Calculus take some weirdo 6-week "workshop" to refresh our high school pre-calculus skills. I was trying to register, and this thing kept coming up saying I needed to register for blahblah1101W if I wanted to register for Calculus, and I was all 'Uhh I don't think I do, but thanks..." Anyway, I called and semi-bitched about it [getting a little nerd-panic going on because there were only 4 spots left for the course and WHO KNOWS HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE WERE TRYING TO REGISTER THAT VERY SECOND??? (*paranoid*)].
So the nice lady explained the new system to me (it's FREE, so how could I possibly complain...), and I'm just lucky that I didn't have another fricking course shoved into the 930 spot. (At least now I only have one hour between classes to waste in the morning, oh joy). Though it seems weird to me to take Calculus at 830 in the morning, and then my very next class will be teaching me what I'm already supposed to know for the earlier class. Whatever, it's just six weeks.
And I need to take some damn online test of pre-calculus things before the end of August which doesn't count toward my grade, but will be available to the professor to look at, so I want to not suck at it and embarrass myself before even stepping foot into the classroom. AND the book for the workshop was free with the purchase of the Calculus textbook... which I already own, so I had to pay $25 for the damn thing. And I guess I have to start studying it and junk. BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING. It's a GOOD THING.
Argh. I spent more money which I was not supposed to do because I don't want my tuition payment to make such a horrifying dent in my bank account. I need to stop spending money, AND I should stop buying clothes online because if I can't get proper fitting clothes in person, what chance do I have on the internet? But what did I just do? Spent a bunch of money on some clothes... online... dammit. But I can't resist free things and discounts, so at least I saved money while wasting it. Laura logic is quite infallible.
Blah blahbity blah, nothing ever changes.
