Free at last...
So, while all of you kids were done on Thursday, your POOR, POOR teachers had to go in on Friday. It was roughly 9 Billion degrees in the school, and we had to clean out our rooms. What you guys don't know is that we literally have to put EVERYTHING away. During the summer, sometimes there is summer school or drivers ed held in our classrooms. Since we're not there, stuff can get taken out of drawers, used, broken, etc. Think of it this way - say you went away for a few weeks with your family, and someone else rented out your house. You never know who would be staying in your room, right? So, you'd lock up anything you didn't want broken or stolen. You'd take a lot of your "nice" stuff with you, right? Ok, same thing with our classrooms.
HUGE thanks to everyone who came to the Art Fair and actually worked today - we made $120, plus the "bonus" money of $100 (special thanks to Lexi, Amber B. & Lauren!!). There are certainly some lazy people on our teams. Wow. I am regretting some decisions I made at tryouts. Maybe some people aren't going to contribute to our teams. You know who you are. If you legitimately worked, recruited people, and did some face painting, bravo. If you just walked around and did nothing, or skipped out completely (and yes, I know a few of you are excused, so don't panic) then just be aware that I've noticed. I have come to the conclusion that it's not worth it to have a huge team if the same people do all of the work all of the time.
Tomorrow Dave and I are going to pick out Murphy. There are only two black male puppies in the litter, so we really only have to choose between them. I will take pictures and see if I can figure out how to load them on here... I may need guidance!!
Monday will be the first day that actually feels like summer vacation to me. I hope it's nice... I will have 10 billion errands to run, but I'll still get to sleep in, which will be awesome. I don't think summer will sink in for me for a while. I'm really busy this week... I have tons to do Monday, practice, and then I'm headed to NYC for the weekend with my friends. So, it's my usual crazy schedule, at least until next week.
Ok, REMEMBER $15 FOR GYMNASTICS ON TUESDAY!!!!!! I'll have Kasey & Amanda call people to remind them...
