Dear Senator Obama,
Please be for real. Please, please mean those things you said. When I tell my grandchildren how I cried tears of hope and relief through your acceptance speech, please let it be a story with a happy ending. Please allow my daughter to tell others proudly that she was born the same year that politics changed. When she goes to elementary school and is asked to write about her heroes, I pray that she writes about someone with the surname Obama. Please help us restore our nation to something that inspires those who live here and those who don't.
