Amazing
I can't remember the last time I read a book that was 498 pages long.
I'm not certain I ever did, to be honest, and if I did, it was probably forced upon me in school.
This week, I accomplished what I thought was impossible. Not only did I read a 498 page book, but I read it in just 6 days!!! While most of you probably laugh at that concept, thndrstd can attest to the fact that this is near the impossible for me.
Twilight
I cannot remember a time where I read a book that I could so easily picture the story in my mind, feel so connected to the characters. I laughed, I blushed, I cried, I smiled in both happiness and relief. I felt frustrated, angry, scared, anxious, sad and giddy.
I didn't go into reading it thinking I would love it. I went into it thinking I had heard good things about it and was curious what the buzz was about. I didn't think I would be interested in what all of the teenagers I know have been reading. But now I understand.
They gave me a sneak peek at the next in the series, New Moon, which I am going to purchase ASAP.
2009 will be a year of reading for me. :-)
