I found out last night that both my maternal grandfather and uncle are in the hospital and not doing well.
My Uncle Dave had emergency heart bypass surgery after having an "episode" where doctors found 5 blockages. He was supposed to go home on Friday, but his heart went into distress while trying to walk down the hall.
On THE SAME DAY my grandfather was rushed to the hospital because he was bleeding from his rectum. He was administered 3 units of blood and more tests are being done to try to find the source. I just hope he'll be all right and I can see him when we visit in 3 1/2 weeks.
