Busy, sleepy, tired...sigh

So I got that promotion that I wanted about a month ago, and since then work has been one of two things, either boring/relaxing or crazy/stressful. I absolutely LOVE this new job though. It's something different everyday, but as one of my two bosses said, my district can't go anywhere but up. For the most part I have a really good set of managers and photolab supervisors (there are 19 stores in my district, 13 have photolabs), buuuuuuuuuut, I have a handful that seem to do nothing but sit back on coast and do the absolute bare minimum to keep themselves employed. It's so frustrating. It will improve though. My main focus the last two weeks has been 2 of my "problem children" and cleaning them up. I was able to get new Photo Lab Supervisor's in both stores and train them both so hopefully it'll start to get to the auto-pilot part and I'll be able to take those stores off "the list".

The boys have been absolutely WONDERFUL lately! I think a lot of it has to do with we changed their sitter. After 18 months with the same lady I found someone new. Julie (the old sitter) tried upping her rates another $75 a week, which was complete and total bullshit, she wasn't really worth what I was paying her as is, she was ok with the kids, but could be complete HELL to put up with, she's one of those this is the way I do it so it's the way EVERYONE should do it. She'd tried giving me parenting tips and telling me how to raise MY children and to be "harder" on my children, ummm, no, I'm not going to be Mommy-nazi to my boys 24/7. If they need to be put in their place I'll do it, but if they are doing what I consider to be "normal" 3 year old little boy things, and they aren't doing any harm than I'm going to leave them be. So they now go to a lady who is closer, has a son their age (who was going to Julie also, but stopped when his mom got laid off), and she is so incredibly sweet. I am paying more, but only $25 more a week, and she gave me longer hours, is not closed on bank holidays, and did I mention that she's nice to my children...lol.

As for my wonderful husband...man has he been busting his ass lately. Things are really starting to take off and he's really setting it up so that he can leave PPR at the end of this year and work full time for the photog business. I'm super proud of him!!

So we are on vacation not this week coming up, but next week and I'm sooooooo looking forward to it. My wonderful MIL decided to take a week of vacation the week of our 5th wedding anniversary, without us even asking, so that she could watch the boys for a week and we could have some "us" time. I love her, she's so wonderful. So, we are going to spend a week together, sleeping, drinking, cleaning, painting, organizing, sleeping, sleeping, oh, and sleeping.

So things are going fantastically right now and I feel completely blessed.
