(insert capslock post #490353458 on Inception)
I'm pretty sure I still haven't updated on my trip to Osaka, but sadly my excitement for Inception (or maybe just Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a vest) really really beats Osaka.
Sigh I already found and joined the
Eames/Arthur ship ~_~ goddammit just when I am in the middle of CBB and am trying to finish
50scenes for Bloody Monday... but this is only a baby of a fandom, so I will run out of things quickly harharhar
I wanted to make Sherlock Holmes icons so that i could have a unified iconset but ugh I want to see if I can just do that for Inception... but my general lack of ability to find bootlegs to my standard will probably prevent that from happening...
thank god it is summer break!
(edit) Man I realize there are some slight facial similarities between JGL and the last white dude I had an infatuation of sorts with. But w/e still browsing the fuck yeah arthur and eames tumblr
(another edit) "Structurally Inception is a heist film, and as in a heist film most of the characters are defined by their functions, as opposed to anything deeper. But with a cast as great as this, Nolan is able to get characterization out of the smallest moments. He knows that he can trust this cast to round these people out, that they will become more than just their job description, and that their interrelationships will take on a life of their own." (

I think quite a few people had something to say about the characterization of the movie, and I know at some points I wondered some things myself. While I don't agree with this review 100%, I do think this excerpt also explains why I didn't feel totally dissatisfied with some questions unanswered about why characters did certain things. And very possibly why I enjoyed the film as much as I did. I remember whispering to my friend Nick 'WHITE COLLAR CRIME!' somewhere during the movie 8)
okokok I'll try not to ruin anything else or hype the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
