Ever since I wrote like 4 sentences of coffeeshop!au on the kpopficwangst, I couldn't help but mash out some more silly mindless coffeeshop! One Day.

“Meeting, now!” Jay, the floor manager, banged a spoon against a metal pitcher.

“Someone’s had his double espresso this morning,” Junsu muttered to Kwon as the floor staff gathered together in a misshapen circle.

Kwon rolled his eyes. “Triple, but who’s counting?”

“First order of business: new dishwasher. Let's give a warm welcome to Chansung!” Jay motioned at a hulking boy hovering behind him. No one said anything.

“Next: we’re out of Sweet’n’Low.”

The news received more reaction than Chansung did.

“Why don’t you just run and get some before we open?” Junsu asked.

“Not enough time, and we need everyone here to handle the morning rush. Besides, we have plenty of Equal. The diabetics will live.”

Kwon raised his hand. “Excuse me? People are crazy about their artificial sweeteners. They will drink our blood if we don’t give them the right brand.”

“I’m not an idiot, Kwon; I know our customers.” Jay crossed his arms and puffed out his chest, a gesture that neither impressed nor reassured anyone. “That’s why Khun is going to handle the register until I have time to get the Sweet’n’Low.”

All eyes turned to the Khun, who nodded and smiled.

“Jay,” Junsu said, “Khun can’t read half the menu.”

“True, but he can do math, and that’s all that matters. Besides, no one can get mad at Khun; it’s a law of nature!”

Khun nodded enthusiastically to Jay’s words.

“On that note, we’re also a little low on the rye. We’ve got one and a half loaves, but just to be safe, push the wheat and white.”

“Do you have any good news for us, almighty floor captain?” Changmin, the sandwich guy, asked from the kitchen counter.

“Yes. Despite the world's horrid economic crisis, you guys still have your jobs,” Jay replied. “Any more questions?”
