Spring is here

The weather is beautiful, my early bloomers are coming up - the hyacinths are full and beautiful (surviving the last snow under plastic buckets) and my roses are starting to bud.

My DI team has the state competition next weekend, then we are done for the season.
I'm not crazy enough to want to try and get 6 kids to Knoxville, TN, do two events in one day, and return home for graduation - I have 2 seniors this year (Yay Cinroll!.) Don't even think about the cost of trying that!

Now I open the doors, listen to the birds and think about the yard work I want to be doing, while I finish up the taxes. Is it crazy I'd rather be cleaning the yard than at my desk??? Speaking of the yard, I'm going to attend one of the local xeriscape classes and put in for a city grant to redo our side yard. It will grow nothing but dandelions and some type of creeper that looks like geranium, both of which choke out any grass that tries to take. We need to fix our sprinkler system, but only in the front. We have well established pines and aspens in the back, so don't need additional water there.

So I guess, back to work now.
