I like my friends
Last night I had this overwhelming feeling of gratefulness for a few of my friends. (They don't even know what livejournal is so I'm sure they won't read this and know that I'm gushing about them - maybe I'll overcome my fear of the post office and send them cards or something).
Meredith reigns at the top of this list. She has just been amazing these past three weeks. We have totally different lives (she has a husband, house, two kids and a dog) and yet she calls to check up on me every day. I met her through Diocesan youth events when I was um, 12? That's a loooonnggg time. And now she's getting ready to pick the new bishop for her diocese and running for a spot on the camp board!
And then my corporate america ladies. . .in the past 6 years all five of us have had our fair share of life changes yet they all remain consistent, thoughtful and caring. I am lucky for randomly having met them; they are the best ever! Last night they also did a good job of reminding me of things that I've accomplished in the past six years - things I had completely forgotten! So that was nice.
Just got off a long phone call with this sort of friend of Paul's - we were talking about El Salvador and mission work. And I just love mission - everything about it. Talking about. Writing curriculum for it. Everything. Makes me all fired up and sad at the same time.
