At first I took the anonymous letter as a complaint we were bringing property values down. I reread the letter yesterday and saw it was not as aggressive as I thought. Not that it offered any solutions other than "hire someone" as if that is (a) easy or (b) inexpensive. An offer to help clearing the yard would have been welcome. Even a conversation about ways to improve the landscaping. The letter also mentions harm to animals in the neighborhood. That one is crazy to me as we have had deer hang out by our pond and we see rabbits regularly.
As far as property value goes, am I lowering the property value (bad) or am I helping to keep our neighborhood affordable (good)?
Anyway, yesterday after work I skipped meeting with the other Black Sheep in favor of working on the yard. We managed to fill a single yard waste bag before sunset. Still, progress was made and the driveway looks better as I pulled up some of the stuff growing in the cracks and a lot of almost compost from around the planters on the driveway.
Right now Jebra's downstairs trying to fix our computer network. I am not pleased as we also have to leave work early (assuming we ever get there) because he has a concert tonight.
