My computer has been down for nearly two days and things still aren't right. This all happened during an upgrade of the OS. In the midst of it, my backup drive also croaked. And we've been dealing with car trouble again; the van started making scary sounds just as Jebra was to leave for his folks' house. Rather than risk it, we rented a car for his travels. He came home Sunday evening. The van went into the shop Tuesday morning and was returned to us yesterday afternoon.
The city's deadline for fixing the stagnant water in the pond passes tonight. Jebra tried to deploy a pump yesterday but was thwarted by mud and leaves.
Oh, and the faucet in the bathtub is leaking. Jebra thinks he can fix it but when will he have time to work on it? The backyard has been taking up so much of our time and attention. I fear for the water bill.
The only bits of good news is that my mom's feeling pretty good (or was when we talked two days ago) and my regular doctor has approved me for surgery.
