The weather is not agreeing with me. Temperatures were in the 50s a few days ago; today we're back to well below freezing and snow is coming down as I type. I am eager for Spring and wanting to go back into the yard and deal with the things the city complained about last year.
My mom turned 82 on Saturday and we (Jebra,
mbumby, and I) called her when we were in Dearborn to wish her a happy birthday. She was doing well and enjoying the additional attention she was getting. I'm going to try to remember to call her later on today. I hope I remember as my memory has been wonky all week. Last night I wore the wrong glasses home from work thanks to forgetting to exchange my computer glasses for the distance ones. This wasn't horrible as most of the evening was spent on the knitting guild's zoom call and the computer glasses are better for that. When it was time to exercise Dr. Phil and his guests were fuzzier than I would have liked but it wasn't horrible. What was horrible was knowing that the focus of the show really was duped out of nearly a million dollars by some evil romance scammer. She has a comparatively tiny amount of money left, but I'd be out of my mind with regret and worry if I were her.
For our own worries, the van is once again having trouble. This time it is making worrisome sounds whenever it turns a corner. It goes back into the shop tomorrow. Cross your fingers for us that this is an easy and inexpensive repair, whatever it is.
