The front part of my week was "work at work and then in the yard if it isn't raining." We got a heck of a lot done on Sunday when are two gardening hero friends came over and chopped more stuff down.
After work on Monday I remembered to call my mom but she wasn't answering her phone. Hopefully I will remember to call again this afternoon. Since she wasn't home I did a bit of crochet, ran a load of laundry, and spent two hours on my exercise bike and fretted about the concerning noise the van is now making when we make right-hand turns.
On Tuesday the room started spinning when I went to get out of bed. The spinning wasn't enough to keep me home so I just slowed down and kept getting ready for work. Considering how awful I felt all day, perhaps I should have stayed home. I got very little done and just hung out at my desk. I was accused of being anti-social, but I wanted to avoid the risk of infecting anyone. Considering my head is back to normal today, I think my initial guess that I was having allergy related inner-ear problems was correct.
In the evening the knitting guild held a Zoom meeting and that was fun. Especially since a small but intense rainstorm was working its way through the area and we'd get reports like "it's hailing here!" and "I can hear thunder but the rain hasn't started yet," and "now it's bright and sunny again." I knit another few inches on the hat I started the other day and it's turning out better than I feared. The hat is 100% silk, which isn't at all stretchy and I find difficult to work with. My stitches aren't too uneven, so, so far, so good.
Tonight the FCB plays on Belle Island. The van is already packed with gear so as long as we can get there without breaking down I'll be happy. It'd be great if we can also make it home too but getting there is my first concern.
