Friday morning I had a doctor's appointment. My weight is up 6 pounds but all of my other numbers were good. This morning I'm thinking about buying a tricycle so I can go to outdoor knitting at the church. Although how I'd transport my knitting, a folding chair, and myself on tricycle is a very good question. I shall have to ponder this later.
I skipped the Cranky Women zoom Friday night, not that I can recall my reasoning. Maybe we stayed at work late, maybe I was being antisocial, might have even been something else. I do remember getting Pad Curry from K Thai Express on the way home and that I enjoyed it more than my usual order of Pre Warn from Thai Garden Restaurant. So much so that I'm hoping we return this Friday so I can repeat my order.
Saturday we got up early (especially by my weekend standards) and headed north to Houghton Lake and Prudenville. I stayed in the car with my knitting and listened to a podcast while
jebra went inside and gathered up the papers & documents he was asked to retrieve. We came home by way of Mt. Pleasant, stopping at Taco Boy for bean & cheese burritos.
Sunday was Stitch & Bitch followed by laundry. Lots of laundry, not helped by having the new washer throw an error code and stop one of the loads without us noticing we needed to restart it. I'm pretty sure the load wasn't too large or off balance, so I'm going to have to keep a closer eye on what is going on.
Monday I went to see my ob/gyn; came home with scripts for a bone density scan and a mammogram. No results from the pap smear yet but I'm not expecting to hear anything dire.
Last night was social knitting on Zoom with the guild. It was fun and for the first time we experimented with breakout rooms. I stayed in the main room so for me it was pretty much a normal social knitting night. I got to show off the most recently completed beach hat (which, hooray, is finally child-sized). I have another child-sized one on the needles now and wonder if there is enough yarn on the spool for one more. If not, I'll use it up on my next cat bed.
Of the things we saw on Saturday's road trip, the most fun was the "Mini Mac," the model of the
"Mighty Mac" aka The Mackinac Bridge. It was constructed by a group of welding students and restored by another group of students ten years later. What most surprised me is that the paint on the model is the same stuff used on the real bridge.
