The big event of the week was the Dorsai Irregulars convention called Thing. This year it was in Ann Arbor, which I liked a great deal for a number of reasons. It's close to home so there was no enormously long drive to get there, Ann Arbor is near Chelsea, so I was able to introduce a number of fiber-loving Dorsai to Artisan Knitworks (and I got to see Sandra and Larry again), the food at Weber Inn is excellent and the rooms are quite comfortable too.
I enjoyed seeing and talking with people I recognize, not that you would be able to tell from my cellphone. I took very few photographs and all of them involved either yarn or things to eat or drink.
After the convention we drove to Jean & Marshall's house for our annual St. Patrick's Day dinner. Seeing them was wonderful but dinner was not at all Irish. Marshall could not find Corned Beef anywhere so we had carry-out Arabic food instead. This was an improvement in my opinion as I can't stand Corned Beef. Then it was home to take care of the cats and spend some time on my exercise bike. I only had two days off from exercise but holy cats did my knees ever hurt later on. I ended up getting out of bed and taking another pain pill in the middle of the night.
If there is anything actually interesting to blather on about, I can't think of what it would be. If you have something you want to discuss, comment. Please.
