I'm pretty tired and my memory isn't working well this morning. Come to think of it, it wasn't working well this entire past week as I kept forgetting to order Hamish more of his special cat food. It's Royal Canin and only available at the vet's. Actually, it can be found on Amazon too, but at three times the price for the same quantity. I finally remembered to order it this morning, so enough about that.

Our taxes are done and in the mail. We don't file electronically so theft should not be as big of an issue as it is for those who do, but I hear fraudulent filings have increased dramatically this year and I wanted mine in as soon as possible. We don't file electronically because our tax person is married to a computer network guy and he did some testing that revealed that the information being transmitted is not encrypted correctly and that at some points it is clear text. So we file by paper but permit electronic deposit of the refunds. Speaking of which, we're getting refunds but getting them was expensive as we had to take a heap of money out of the savings accounts to put into our IRAs to get anything back. Assuming Trump doesn't kill us all, we'll get it back eventually, but I am so unsure about the future withdrawing the funds was painful.

I can't think of anything else of note in my life. The husband went off to Wisconsin to ride herd on the furries at Fur Squared. I really really wanted to go but our boss was on vacation and if I left that would leave only one person at the office. So I had to stay even though I felt like a tone of my friends were attending the con. Rationally I know that's an illusion as I know a bunch of them only superficially, seeing them only at other conventions and following them on twitter. I'm willing to bet half of the people I care about and wanted to see in person have no clue who I am. They sure wouldn't from my own tweeting. I spend gobs more time on twitter than I do facebook, but on both I remain (mostly) silent.
