Berry Lemonade Slushies

Jun 09, 2005 05:05

I found this recipe in a KraftFoods magazine, and I thought I would share it with you guys. I haven't made it yet. I would but the blender would make too much noise and wake up my hubby. :-)

Berry Lemonade Slushies :

1/2 cup of Country Time Lemonade Flavor Drink Mix (dry)

1/2 cup water

3 cups ice cubes

1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries

Measure: drink mix into cap to 1-qt. line (1/2 cup). Empty into blender container.

Add: remaining ingredients; cover. Blend on high speed 10 sec. Turn off blender. Stir with spoon; cover. Bend an additional 5 sec. or until smooth, using pulsing action.

Serve: immediately. Store leftover slush in freezer.

Makes 4 servings, 3/4 cup each.

YUMMY!!!
Edit: I made this fruity concotion this morning and it didn't turn out as I had hoped. Well, it tastes good, but some of the ice and frozen strawberries didn't get chopped up. If you have a good blender, it should be ok, but if you have a sucky one like mine, you need to keep pushing down the ice and strawberries with a spoon while it is "blending". Hopefully yours will end up more 'blended' than mine did. It still tastes good though! :-D
