I Don't Give A Damn....
Summer school is over. So Hurrah and huzzah. Get out your p-funks and key kramer's car, because today my friends, the slackers run free. Summer starts today, at least for me.
WO! I am so happy that I decided to rhyme. In anycase, yes summer school is over and thank god. Not just because I hate getting up at 7 in the morning over the summer (dont get me wrong...i do) but now I can't go to school without feeling like crying. Thank you Elephant.
For those of you who don't know, I watched the movie Elephant last night, which happens to be about a shcool shooting. However, that is not the entire focus of the movie. The entire focus of the movie is how everyone in highschools lives suck, and how dysfunctional us teenagers are...and we are, in fact, very dysfunctional.
I saw it and nothing really sank in, I mean. I thought I was going to cry when you saw the kids running and what-not, but that is a normal human reaction. It wasn't until 2 in the morning, when I was lying in bed, that it all sank in.
That things like that do happen...not the shooting...but the lives... Those kids are kids in Highlands and Southgate and everywhere else. We are all so fucked up but we do it to ourselves, to the point where one of us snaps and thinks that the only way to solve things is to shoot everyone...uncluding themselves.

So Elephant, congratlations. You are only the second movie in my entire life that has made me cry or tear up. And all you were doing, was showing me what I already knew.
