Gratitude
I don't know that I will post again this year...lol. That sounds so dramatic - when it really means such a short time. Anyway...
I am incredibly grateful for the return of old friends to my life, but mostly for the dramatic improvements in both of my children. When people told me parenthood was the toughest job I'd ever love, they had NO clue. My sister told me it was like your heart walked around outside your body - and even she was wrong. The inability to fix serious problems for your child at 3 is ... incredibly painful.
But...
In 2010, we have been blessed indeed. Our quiet son is now quite the chatterbox - and is reading VERY well, thank you very much. His only delay now seems to be pronunciation of a few sounds. I have NO doubt that he has his father's gift for numbers...yay! He is smart as a whip. lol - that is both good and BAD for me...
And our little miss... is doing so well. Both the school and I agree we haven't seen a seizure in several months. She is giggling and playing with toys and chasing her brother sometimes. There are obvious delays - but she is making SUCH progress that I cannot put it into words. I understand that this may not last - but WOW...it is absolutely incredible. I don't need anything else.
All I can say is ... look at the fine details - they are exquisite.
I love you all - and in case I don't post again before 2011 - I wish you all the joy and fulfillment and contentment for 2011. I love you all!
