Confessions of a Sound of Music Junkie
SO when i signed on today, there was a story on msn today about bec cartwright and Leyton hewitt getting married tomorrow or some shit. For whatever strange reason, i was intrigued and read the whole story and towards the end it said that the wedding was taking place at the Sydney Opera House and that the one and only John Farnham was going to be singing at the ceremony.
what?
thats right! John Farnham will be singing at the wedding of a soap star and an agro tennis champ. It occurred to me that this was bound to happen as ol' johnnie missed out on his ANZAC DAY SPECTACULAR show and he was in need of some more publicity to support his tenth greatest hits record and his impending retirement. But seriously, i thought Mr Farnham was slightly more respectable than the clown i was reading about. Oh how the great fall so easily.
another interesting observation was the content of the accompanying picture. It detailed "Bec" giving "Hewie" a hug and a kiss for the cameras recently at an a-list bash (a-list - READ: gretel killeen and that new guy on idol - ha!). Now it wasnt simply the saccharine spectacle performed by the two lovebirds that made the picture notable, it was the fact that while pretty young Bec hugged her man, she also held on to a refreshing crownie in a shameless plug meets casual socialising stunt. And in the sage words of The Life Aquatic's Steve Zissou "Do you really think you should be hittin' the sauce when you've got a bun in the oven!?"

I am at mum and dads at the moment and its mega weird, i will never get used to staying here again. i love my house too much and the lifestyle that accompanies it. on the upside, my folks have foxtel and so far i have watched four hours of television. because i cannot do anything else, i am only here to look after my mum and she is asleep. meh, i am resigned, quite willingly, to laziness.
i got my uni results back and lemme tell you that i was shocked and awed at how non-fail they were. when in all honesty, i really thought i had failed at least one and only passed the others, but i recieved distinctions for every unit. talk about askewed reality, i think my perception of the world has been altered by increases in drugs, sex and fun. fine holiday fun.
A Paul Simon doco was on before and it made me think of megan, and i was going to tape it but alas "marley's tape" has been used for motor racing. im not even gone five minutes and im replaced by motor racing haha
Cannot wait for the crew's daytrip to Bell Falls this Sunday. you should come!!!! Im really looking forward to chillin out with mega awesome comrades such as Atrid, Mel, Megan, Pete, Kate and JOhn and whoever else is coming. woot woot.
i love you all but vegetarian sushi awaits me.
