Guh, I hate it when it eats my post!
Anyway...
I went to the doctor. I gained a pound, am a centimeter dilated, probably just having BH and my cervix is still pretty thick and intact. She is still measuring ahead, is head down and way down so they think she could come anytime and they say they wouldn't stop her. So probably not too soon but probably early.
I think it is safe to say that my Dad will get his wish- to see his first Granddaughter and have a chance to spoil her and get totally wrapped around her pinkie. Awesome sauce!
The shower in LA went well. Our families and friends got along even though my family ducked out pretty early. I probably should have stayed out of the party games but I didn't . I actually got my belly circumference right right off the bat which was part luck and part having measured about 3 weeks beforehand. I got lots of stuff I did and didn't need and it was all wonderful. Only one thing doubled but my hubby's sister is exchanging it and sending the new thing on to us. I also got a playpen/bassinet and a co-sleeper but I'm sure I can use them both :D I still need to pack a bag for D-day, get some wipes, nursing bras, a digital ear thermometer, and some Dreft detergent. I should probably wash up her clothes so there are no irritants on them...hopefully but I'm still hoping to hold off until after the birthing class, friends shower down here and until I get the thank you cards sent off but that really not too important to me anymore so we'll see.
I'm heading to the couch to glut on ice water and deflate my feet so there's my update. Later guys!
