well, a bit of excitement for my neighborhood. yup plane crashed into a building and it was only 3 blocks away from my apt. and i had no idea until i walked out of school and about 8 people all tried to call and/or text me at EXACTLY THE SAME TIME. meanwhile, it's pouring rain, the bus wasn't running to the east side because of it, and i just wanted to get home and still didn't know what happened. so i took the subway way out of the way and the second i got out of the subway, the phone continues ringing, the subway station was massively packed and literally every single person i walked by in my neighborhood was on their cell phone. it's kinda scary to think damn what if something like that happens and you come home and your entire home is just gone, decimated, and you have nothing left. literally everything i have is in this apt and all my money is spent in paying for it. and i have no savings. what the hell would you do? man it's bad to think about. what really annoys me about it all is the news people. they are talking about how horribly it is that two people died and then this is what they say, "it's so awful that two people lost their lives in this accident, and then to find out that one of them is a yankee well that makes it even more tragic." ummm excuse me? did i hear that correctly? is the life of a baseball player worth more than any other life? is his death more tragic because he makes millions of dollars to throw a little ball at someone every few nights? man this world is just messed up.
