The Countdown has Begun...
Here we are in the final stretch before lift-off. Well until pick-up actually. This time tomorrow I'll be well on my way down south to meet up with the breeder I'm picking the critters up from. Then we'll be turning tail round to head up to a BBQ for a group of us that hang out on the cornsnakes forum where we'll be picking up the Hubby's latest addition to the zoo - the male lavender.
In the mean time I've started the bean dips - with the help of my oldest - and cleaned out a few of the rat/mouse cages so that they don't get to stinking too bad while we're gone. There's a few more things left to do around the house here and then we pack up our bags for the night... We'll be out of town for one night and then on Saturday we'll be rubbing elbows with hundreds of other snake friendly people as we puruse the rows of stalls and vendors.
Oh Glory Days! If only we had more funds available - we could pick up a few more gorgeous babies while we are there! But, well, we'll have to settle for a set of snake probes, some crikets, and some coconut hides for the newbies. I guess I should bring along a box or two of tissues to deal with all the drooling too. lol...
I will of course be taking LOTS of pictures while at the BBQ and at the show, I'm so excited! We'll be meeting some of the biggest breeders in the biz and rubbing elbows with fellow addicts! lol...
*jumps for joy* And on the plus side I'm no longer in severe pain - I'd taken a nasty spill over the laundry cart the other day and jarred my back, shoulder, and knee something fierce - so I won't have to be left behind now! OH Glory days!
ANYwhere... I'm out of here... going to go bounce around the forums a bit before I head out to finish the bean dips..
