Things I'm sad about

As delusional as it might have been, I had my hopes high for Lisa Edelstein (House) getting nominated. Stupid people in magazines etc giving their two sense about emmy nominations LOL. But oh wells, there's always next year :)

Word to this entire post.

I really thought LE had a chance this season,especially after all the recognition she got this season, but I guess the section of my brain reserved for hope is just too big lol. I hope that she's a presenter or something because I really want her to be there, Hugh can't go by himself! I hope Hugh wins, but I won't hold my breath. I do think that if he doesn't win this year with Broken then he probably wont ever win, I mean, what more do they want the guy to do? But whatever, he doesn't need a little statue to validate his amazing acting ability anyway.

I wasn't surprised that House itself didn't get nominated, it was a really disjointed season. But I had hoped that some of the individual episodes would have gotten recognition, especially Broken and Help Me (GY should have gotten nominated for directing that).

Oh well, I could rant all day about how faulty the Emmys are (mostly the fact that cable shows always have an edge over network shows, especially in the drama category), but I'll move on to happier things...like Glee and Modern Family! Glee is totally gonna pwn, they got like 19 nominations or something, I think they're the new "30 Rock" of the Emmys. And I love that pretty much everyone on Modern Family got nominated, they all deserve it (I rewatched an episode last night, and it always cracks me up no matter how many times I've seen it). Btw I'm pretty sure Claire(Julie Bowen) did get nominated, so yay :)

I definitely agree about the Lost cast being overdue for some Emmys. I've only seen a handful of episodes (and I was totally lost when I watched them lol) but the actors were great, so I hope they get a few for their final season.

Okay sorry this turned into some sort of essay, the emmys always get me worked up in both good and bad ways lol.

I agree with everything you said.
Now that you mention it, it is sad that the writing/directing for Broken and Help Me (EASILY the best two episodes of the season) weren't given some sort of recognition. Oh wells....it's the emmys LOL.

I agree with you about the cable shows vs. network.....some of the people that are nominated I kind of just wtf. The lead actress/supporting actress in drama always is so weak in my opinion. Those actresses might be doing a fine job, but I've never heard of them nor their show. *sighs* oh well....at least people's choice awards show more what people actually like rather than the snobs that run the emmys.

JULIE BROWN GOT NOMINATED!!!??? *is super super super excited* THAT'S ALL OF MY FAVORITES YAY!!! God I adore Modern Family, it really is just too funny. People should give it a chance.

Thanks so much, I adore Puck and Cuddy. I really do, I think Puck's climbed to my favorite Glee character (yes beating out Sue and Rachel....but barely...just barely). I think the fact that he's a total tool just adds to how much I love him LOL.
