Two things work against my interpretation of events. 1) It's Florida. 2) It's summer. Those two things make it bound to happen, but...
Twice in the last two weeks I have had snakes block my path. Two weeks ago a black snake was in the breezeway of our condo, not letting me get to the car with my huge basket of laundry. I had to stomp my foot and shoo it away.
Today, I was at my grandparents' house helping out with their laundry. I went out to check the mail, and when I came back, a black snake was lying in front of the door. Again, I had to shoo it off.
Either Lilith *really* wants me to finish her story or snakes hate laundry.
