Getting rid of gay marriage and bringing back don’t ask don’t tell? Seriously?
Give me a GOOD reason why gay marriage shouldn’t be allowed, that does NOT involve: Religion, the phrase “It’s unnatural” or any variation, or “It’s gross” or any variation. Give me one good damn reason.
Oh, wait. There IS no reason.
You are signing off someone’s ability to love their partner for no good damn reason whatsoever. The real reason people want to ban gay marriage? Because they don’t like it. That’s it.
Religion is not a factor, since everyone doesn’t follow your single religion. It being unnatural is not the case- gay couples occur in nature, and there really is no basis for what is “natural” of us as humans anyway. All that leaves is your opinion- the simple opinion that “it’s gross,” that you don’t like it. You are forcing that opinion as law, and it’s fucking disgusting.
I honestly wish that we could take away the marriage rights of EVERY single person against gay marriage. Force them to turn in their marriage licenses, and tell any budding couples that they just can’t be wed. “Why not?” They’ll ask. “Because this book here says so- my beliefs say so. It’s gross, and I don’t like it, so it’s not allowed anymore.” “But-but, that’s stupid!” “You’re telling me.”
Get rid of immigrants? All right, then. Lets just turn back the clocks and get rid of every last one of your ancestors. Because, unless your family tree is 100% Native American- OOPS, you’re the product of immigrants!
You have NO right to discriminate against people for not being born here. Your ancestors were once in the same boat. For me, my grandmother- and mother- were both direct immigrants from Scotland. And I’m damn proud of that.
I find it funny that someone who wants to criminalize abortion, wants to start another war. Do you know how much more harmful war is than some abortions?
We’re talking:
Dead and wounded soldiers. Widows. Orphans. More funding for those wives and children left behind. Still more hostility- probably more threats from other countries in the future, since we’d be instigating. Death. Destruction.
Honestly, if you’re going to support a damn fetus, support living people as well. Soldiers are not fodder to be used as you wish. If a war is not necessary, a war should not be made. Just because you feel threatened by the dog on the other side of the fence, does not mean that you need to hop the fence and put a bullet in his head. If someone is not harming you, it’s time to just keep walking.
And about abortion- criminalize it? Seriously?
What of- raped women? Women that need abortions to save their very lives, because their bodies cannot handle the strain of it? Families that will NOT be able to support a child, so the kid will be put up for adoption- where there are already FAR too many kids (Do you even KNOW orphanage statistics?). Oh, and what is the mother is sick, or even the father has a disease that the baby could carry, and they want to stifle the pregnancy before the child can suffer with that? What if the mother’s been drinking, and smoking, and the baby will just be born a wreck? Oh, she could have aborted the poor thing and saved it some misery, but nope- now she’ll either have to struggle to keep herself and it alive, through sicknesses, and disorders- or, just put it up for adoption, where no one will want it, because no one wants the imperfect baby.
You think that you are doing so much good by abhorring abortion, by destroying that option- but many times that is the best option, or the ONLY option. We do NOT need any more people in this world to eat up our already diminishing resources- let alone a child that the parents will not want, or not be able to take care of.
Make public schools force creationism? I’d drop out. I would fucking drop out. In an instance.

There are Atheists, and Agnostics, and Buddhists, and Muslims, and many more religions that will not support the same stories that you uphold. You CANNOT take your religion and force it onto anymore people. I SINCERELY doubt that you’d want to listen to me pour my beliefs onto you, anymore than i would like for the other way around.
There is no war on Christians. If anything, it’s Christians creating this war. They bash, and trash, and destroy the rights and morals of people unalike them- and when questioned- and when told they need to stop- they roll on their bellies and play the victim.
