Today is a good day. I found a double stroller at a garage sale last Friday. So, if I get it cleaned up while Zoey (the girl I am taking care of) is taking a nap this morning, maybe I will take them out for a good walk to the park or something. She's cranky so I think naptime will come early today.
I shared a funny story with the June community, so I thought I would share with ya'll also.
I usually put Bennett in bed with us in the middle of the night. I have noticed that he somehow has been scooting himself over to be right up against me. Shannon just kept insisting that it was the bed slanting more, so his body just kind of moved that direction due to the slant (thanks, huh?). However, I tested it out the other night. Shannon went to sleep on the couch because it was extremely warm in our room and it was much cooler in the living room. So, when I put Bennett in bed with me, I put a pillow on one side of him, and moved him even further away from me then he normally is (not against the edge, but just so that I knew it wasn't from a 'slant in the bed.') As morning approached, I kept hearing him grunting. I would peak at him and he would be a bit closer to me. The little boy was scooting himself toward me in his sleep, but probably because I put him a little further away, it took a little more effort, hence the grunting!
Now, while I am sleeping, I am always aware of what is around me, anyway. But, with him moving so close I am always worried that I may smoosh him, or something, so I naturally just move over when he gets close. The problem is that he likes to snuggle RIGHT against me. So, this morning not only did I have an achy back and a wet bed, I was literally at the very edge of the bed, almost hanging off (with a little baby all snuggled up to me).
Ashleigh asked me last night when I was having another baby. I told her I didn't know. She wants a sister now.
