Nightmare day
I had to turn away 2 kids I was watching because I realized I was over my limit for under 2 year olds. I could only have 3, and this brother and sister made 4.
I had 5 kids here today. One was my own (Bennett). Ashleigh is gone for 2 weeks :(.
I now have 2 kids here. I kicked 3 of them out. The lady with the 3 kids dropped her kids off this morning.
First, she was 1/2 an hour early. This might not have been so bad, however, I was just getting out of the shower when she rang the bell (because she told me 7:15-7:30 and showed up at my door at 6:45).
Her kids were terrible. Well, except for the baby. The 2 and 3 year old were. They did not listen to a single thing I said. They were tearing up the house and jumping all over everything. They were hitting.. hitting each other.. hitting me... hitting the 6 month old that was here... and kicking. They were smart mouthed. Especially the 3 year old girl. She was REALLY smart mouthed. After 6 hours of it, I called their mom and told her that I was sorry but she would have to get her kids. She acted all surprised that they would act that way. It took her over an hour to get here and then she acted like her kids are angels. She brought her mother along with her and her mother was even smart with me.
She said things like, "They probably just thought they were rough-housing." (This was in response to them hitting the 6 month old) And I responded to her and said that I told them to stop, and they continued doing it. She just shook her head and said they don't hit. THEN, she said, "So, if you bring a kid into your house and they don't listen the first day, you won't ever watch them again?" I just said, "When the refuse to listen to ANYTHING I say." When I told her that I tried to have them take a nap and they just jumped on the cots and told me they weren't going to take a nap and I couldn't make them...she just said that's a 2 and 3 year old. The mother didn't say anything. She just got the stuff. I would be embarrassed if my kids acted that way for someone. anyone...
So, I am back down to 1 child again. The 6 month old. She's a great kid.
I turned in my 2 week notice at work last Friday. So, hopefully I will find at least a couple more kids to make some money. I know the right ones will come along.
