Where the f***k are all these spiders coming from?

Okay, we've always had the occasional spider in our house.  Most of the time, I'd kill about one a week.  Usually, I flush them down the toilet.  Now you're probably saying, "Oh, but spiders are good!"  Outside maybe, but not in my house.  These guys are so busy inside that I'll go to work in the morning and find a large intact cobweb in the corner of my dining room in the evening.

But in the last few weeks, it seems that the spiders are everywhere in my house.  In the past, most of them have been found in the upstairs bathroom or the kitchen (and basement of course).  Both moist places, I get it.  Lately though, I find them on the walls of our family room, living room, hallway and bedrooms.  I kill up to 10 a day now!

We've had spider infestations before, but usually because a hidden egg sac hatched all at once and the teeny babies were all over the bathroom.  I'd scoop them up and dispose of them before they reached maturity (heh, heh!).  But right now, I have a spider explosion of adults.  Obviously, they've grown to maturity within the house (I guess), but why did they all decide to come out of hiding at the same time?

This was before the recent rainfall/deluge.  Any ideas?

domestic, wtf???, aaarrrrggghhhh!!!!
