I never understand the wildly ways of my subconscious. Honestly, I never do. Why? Well my dream last night is a perfect example (and sadly, it's level of weirdness was not surprising. And no, I did not drink coffee right before bed).
Okay, so it starts out with me in labor, in a wide open-air circle. I'm in a long dark wooly robe, and I'm in labor. All of a sudden all the women villagers gather around the circle and get belly down on all fours, and then the men come out and do the same over the women (in a protective manner). Then, all of a sudden, I've given birth and my new baby is a CAT. A CAT I SAY!!! And she looks exactly like my late cat, Galaxy, so I name her Galaxy. And she's hungry, so the priest/overseer of the 'ceremony' places her little wee mouth onto my left nipple... but no milk. So he puts her on my right nipple, and finally there's milk. And then, Peter (who is my husband but definitely NOT the father of the cat) confesses he hadn't yet built the crib, so I decide the new, uh, baby, will sleep with me in my little twin sized bed. Oh yes, at no point is this cat a kitten, no, always a full-grown cat. And then I learn that ALIENS (I think 'Stargate SG1' has influenced me a bit?) had experimented on me regarding cross breeds. Well, aliens, it worked.
Sooo yeah. That was my dream. A fine example of the odd makings of the mind I look forward to most every night. No idea why.
