Eavesdropping...

mrsnutbrownhare has inspired me to update.

Yesterday, we were driving to the gym and I eavesdropped on a conversation between Jack Jr and Cheeks.  Not that it's actually eavesdropping considering that they're 7 and 6.  When I picked them up from daycare, Jack Jr told me about swim lessons.  Apparently, his ribs were "popping" when he was swimming.  Everytime he would do a stroke, his ribs would pop (everything is okay).  So after we got home, got dinner, and got ready to go to the gym, Cheeks pulled her usual brat act.  She was throwing a fit and crying by the time we left the house.  So we're in the car driving and the conversation goes like this (they don't realize I'm listening):

Jack Jr: Cheeks, are you okay?  Why were you crying before?

Cheeks: (sniffle) No, I really not okay.

JJ: Well, if you'd like to talk about it, I'll listen. [side note: isn't he the cutest freakin' thing?]

C: (more sniffling): I don't know.

JJ: Well, if you talk about it, it might make you feel better.  It really will.

C: Okay.

JJ: So what happened?

C: Well, when I was coming downstairs, I missed a step and my ankle popped.  It hurt really bad (sniffling again).

JJ: It popped like my rib case popped at swimming today?
