Well, this weekend was a total waste of time. I read six chapters of my textbook and didn't learn anything. Plus all we got was criticism at the State Festival and I thought the awards ceremony was really inappropriate. Daniel's play got best original script, which it deserved, but the acting awards seemed to be given based on the part rather than the performance. The adjudicator actually said that Gemma got best actress because her character had the pivotal turning point in the play, but didn't say a word about the performance itself. That really pissed me off and what pissed me off more was that I actually got offered the role before her, but turned it down for "The Lesson".
But, of course, if I HAD taken that role, I still wouldn't have won anything, because nothing ever goes right for me. I'm so disappointed.
