Together again.
Once again my family has been together. This time for a much happier occasion; a wedding. Although it was mixed with sadness and tears as we missed our brother, Ford, and also Fred was unable to escape his sub to join us.
This has been a longer trip as well, more planned, and we were thrilled to be able to spend time with siblings and their children in their own homes. It was such an encouragement to be able to have that, to be able to see families in their own environments, to be reminded that children are children and ours aren't the only imperfect ones. To have the fellowship together in the evenings. We also had the blessing of being able to visit all my grandparents. This was wrought with mixed emotions for me as I love being able to see them again and have them see my children, but on the flip side, I don't know if they will be here the next time we come back. It is hard, too, to see them older and more frail in both mind and body.
