It snowed tonight, so I just took a little stroll...
No one else is up at this hour, not around here anyway. Not people.
No tracks but mine and those of little furry things scuffling through the woods, over the ice. Ducks quacking over by the dam - whatever's been killing them hasn't driven them off. Maybe because I had a good night around other people it was easier...? But I wasn't scared. I didn't feel lonely. I felt really happy and safe.
It's nice here. I like it.
