The Move Upwards and Out
I suppose this is a good time as any to talk about the future. I did mention before that I could see the possibility of moving twice this year, however, I didn't expect the second move to be within a month's time. Yep. It looks as though I will be moving again very soon.
Foo and I have decided to go forward with just about everything that we've been dreaming of doing. First of all, we're going to begin some heavy work on No Last Words. That's the new band. I've also pitched to him the idea of an acoustic cover band just for classic shits 'n' giggles. This is an idea I've been thinking over ever since I returned home from Chicago. We also plan on forming what we hope to be a full functioning label complete with studio for recording and music production. Over the years, we hope to be able to expand beyond the traditional "band" stuff and sink our teeth into soundtrack work for film and video games. Besides the usual offerings of recording, mixing, mastering, and production work, we also plan on providing instruction for certain instruments and audio gear along with tech help.
Last weekend, we put together a very rough 5 year plan which will be looked more closely in the coming weeks. The potential is still very exciting. We're thinking RealWorld of the U.S.
So, what does this have to do with moving? Well, I'm moving back to Heath so Foo and I can make substantial headway on things. I'm very close to securing a day job for my time there. In fact, all I need to do is go to the place of employment and fill some things out on Monday. After that, it's just a matter of juggling things around to make the move a little easier.
Last, we're certain that Heath/Columbus will not being our final stop with all of this. The next move will more than likely be NYC.
