i would like to recommend a recipe for bacon that i learned from my brother's roommate in colorado. basically, just lay the bacon down a cookie sheet, sprinkle brown sugar, and bake at between 350 and 450 degrees (depending on desired crispiness).

advantages over pan fried:
- SO FUCKING GOOD
- All bacon cooks at the same time, so you don't have to let some of it sit on a plate and dry, if you are making a large batch
- doesn't splatter all over the stove, making a fucking mess.

disadvantages:
- you tend to spend more money on bacon once you learn its true potential
- you also tend to get fat

also, a bit of bacon trivia, the "bacon rose" is a euphemism for the female genitalia in some parts of sweden. it is in fact my favorite euphemism for the female genitalia, which is obviously a very contentious category.
